Certification Program Overview
The Pet Emergency Academy’s Pet CPR and First Aid course is designed specifically for grooming professionals and pet salon staff who want to be prepared for emergencies that can occur in a grooming setting. This course equips groomers with the essential skills needed to handle medical emergencies, unexpected injuries, and potentially life-threatening situations, ensuring that you can act quickly to protect the pets in your care. Whether you run a grooming salon, work as a mobile groomer, or are part of a grooming team, this course will give you the confidence and knowledge to provide a higher standard of safety for your clients’ pets.
Course Access and Structure
- Course Duration: The course must be completed within 30 days from the date of purchase.
- Course Navigation: Begin your course by clicking the links below. The course is sequential; you must complete each section before moving to the next. At the end of each topic, click the green button at the bottom right corner of the page to confirm completion and receive credit in the grade book.
- Progress Tracking: Monitor your progress using the progress bar at the top of the page and the sidebar. You can log in and out as needed but must finish the course within 30 days.
Quizzes and Exams
- Assessments: Each module ends with a quiz, and there is a final exam at the end of the course. You have unlimited attempts to pass these assessments, but you must achieve a 100% score.
E-Books and Printed Books
- E-Books: Access your e-book in the Course Introduction section. E-books are web-hosted and can only be viewed online; they are not downloadable or printable.
- Printed Books: If you purchased a printed book, it will be mailed within a couple of business days from the date of purchase. You will receive a tracking number via email when the book is shipped.
